Frag

Also called: fragging · fragment

A frag is a small cutting of a coral, mounted on a plug or disc, used to propagate it or trade it — how most corals are bought and shared in the hobby.

Fragging lets keepers grow a colony from an affordable piece and spread corals through the community rather than harvesting the wild. A new frag should be dipped, then placed low and acclimated to light slowly.
