Sweeper tentacles
Sweeper tentacles are the long, extended stinging tentacles some corals — Euphyllia like hammer, torch and frogspawn especially — reach out at night to attack and clear space around neighbours.
They can sting and kill a coral placed too close, so plan spacing before you glue anything down — about six inches from non-Euphyllia corals, and torch stings even other Euphyllia.
